Yard Act have made a strong sales-chart entrance with You’re Gonna Need a Little Music, debuting at No.3 on the UK’s Official Albums Sales Chart.
The 24–30 July chart measures paid album sales across CDs, vinyl, cassettes and digital downloads. Gracie Abrams’ Daughter From Hell entered at No.1, with The Rolling Stones’ Foreign Tongues at No.2 and Yard Act immediately behind them.
Physical music still matters
For guitar bands, the sales charts can tell a different story from the streaming-led headline ranking. A committed audience buying vinyl, CDs and downloads can give independent-minded artists a significant presence even in a crowded release week.
Nia Archives’ Emotional Junglist also entered the Albums Sales Chart at No.4, making the top end of the week particularly varied.
That mix is a useful snapshot of where UK music sits in 2026: streaming may dominate everyday listening, but fans are still prepared to put money behind records they want to own.
