The Script have returned to the upper end of the UK Albums Chart with The User’s Guide to Being Human, debuting at No.3.
The album entered the chart for 21–27 August 2026, during a release-heavy week led by Phoebe Bridgers’ Lost Weekend at No.1 and KATSEYE’s Wild at No.2. Jungle’s Sunshine also debuted at No.4.
A crowded week for new albums
Four new releases occupying the top four positions gave the week a noticeably fresh shape. For The Script, the No.3 debut adds another strong UK chart result to a career built around large audiences and direct, song-led pop-rock.
It is also another example of guitar-based songwriting remaining visible in the main album chart rather than only in specialist rock or independent rankings.
