DIIV have shared a new single, ‘Dare Me’, and announced an extensive 2027 world tour ahead of the release of their new album ZIRP! on 30 October 2026.
The record, produced by A. G. Cook and released through Fantasy Recordings, follows the band’s 2024 album Frog in Boiling Water. ‘Dare Me’ joins previously shared tracks ‘The Fountain’ and ‘Kid’ as a preview of the new material.
A new chapter for DIIV
DIIV have long occupied the space between hazy shoegaze textures and more abrasive alternative rock. The involvement of Cook, known for his adventurous production work, makes ZIRP! an intriguing next step, although listeners will be able to judge the full record for themselves when it arrives.
UK shows confirmed for 2027
The newly announced 47-date world tour begins in Australia in February 2027, before visiting New Zealand, Japan and North America. European and UK dates follow in late May and June, with the run scheduled to finish at London’s Troxy on 30 June.
For UK alternative fans, the announcement brings both an imminent album release and a chance to hear the songs live next summer. Readers following experimental and shoegaze-leaning alternative music might also enjoy our coverage of Panchiko’s Chimera, Dummy’s new album and UK tour and our Nothing album review. We’ll be keeping an ear on ZIRP! as it arrives.
